Grant Guidelines

For 2009 through 2011, Stevens Square Foundation will focus its granting on programs for seniors.  We will support programs and organizations that:

  • Foster systems change to improve the lives of seniors

  • Enable seniors to remain in their own homes

  • Address the needs of disabled or mentally ill seniors

As grant decisions are made, Stevens Square Foundation will focus on the priorities expressed in the Foundation's Vision and Values Statement located on our home page.

Priority will also be given to programs that:

  • Support strategies for creative and healthy aging

  • Increase access to services

  • Address the needs of immigrant and ethnically diverse seniors

  • Address affordable housing for seniors or the needs of homeless seniors

  • Provide services which address health care, nutritional, and transportation needs of seniors so that they can maintain their independence

Grant requests for $35,000 to $50,000 are carefully evaluated for their capacity to carry out the project as proposed. In addition, for these larger requests, priority is given to those focused on creating positive change in the older adult services field.
